Lightning Network Compatible

The Bitcoin blockchain is designed for secure recording of transactions, while the Lightning Network is a second layer solution built on top of Bitcoin that facilitates faster and cheaper micropayments. Runes have their own genesis block on Bitcoin. Both Bitcoin and Rune tokens utilize the Unspent Transaction Output (UTXO) model. This shared system allows Rune tokens to be adapted for use within the Lightning Network's channel structure. Runes are unspent transaction outputs so they are also perfect for micropayments on the lightning channel.
